We will be starting a new texting program for leaders when they are in small group. If they need help in their group or kick someone out of their group they will just need to text 208-987-9553. The text message will go to Me, Caleb, Cory and Security. Once we get a message come through we will radio the coach who is over the group and if you are busy or in a group, security, myself, Cory or another coach will head to that group.
Example text for kicking a student out: Joey green3
Example text needing help: green3
Incidents reports should be filled out every time there is any kind of conflict at youth group.
Please fill out the registration form if you are planning on doing an event for 3 or more students.
Making phone calls to students who have been gone for 3 weeks in a row can be intimidating. This is mostly due to the lack of participation that a middle schooler can have on a phone call, so if your phone call ends a little awkward you probably did an excellent job. Its good to know that the middle schoolers (and their parents) really do enjoy receiving phone calls even if they don’t say much on the phone. In most cases you will have already met these teens at least one time so you should be able to put a face to the kid. The one big thing that we need to be careful of when making these phone calls is that we are not making the kids feel guilty for missing youth group to do sports and other activities. Most of these kids have a lot of activates and there families are hyper-scheduled making it challenging for them to get to youth group. We just want to let them know that they are missed, not that we are mad they have been skipping.
