Digital Communications Specialist – Post Falls Campus
My Family: My husband Sean and I were married in July of 2001. We’ve baked two biscuits, our son Robin and daughter Katie.
My Story: I’m a home grown LIFER. Jesus started calling me when I was pregnant with our son Robin. God brought us friends, that became family, and slowly my husband and I accepted an invitation to a crazy thing called a “home group” and then an invitation to church. Church had always scared me, intimidated me. But God used people and amazing relationships, as his hands and feet and slowly, church wasn’t so scary, and eventually it became a second home. We were both baptized in May of 2005 and started leading a home group. I was asked to get involved in Women’s Ministry and before I knew it I had a Facebook page, that led to a blog, that led to a job in Communications at Real Life Ministries.
Before RLM I dabbled a little in Physical Therapy and Exercise Physiology in my younger years, but the moment I was pregnant with our first child I became a mommy. I am so thankful I got to be in that role almost full-time until our two biscuits started school.
Favorite Verse: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus in you.” 1 Thessalonian 5:16-18.
Food: Bacon makes everything better.
Quote: “Your greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God may not be something you do, but someone you raise.” Andy Stanley.
Hobby: Oh goodness, I think taking on new hobbies is my favorite hobby. I love to read, write, play guitar and ukulele. I love photography, and discovering quirky words. I’ve recently found I like to crochet, it’s fun to make something pretty with my own two hands.
Exercise: I hate running but I do it. I’ve just discovered a love for half marathons (never a full marathon, that’s insane). With a little music and the dance of a conversation with God in my head I can walk for miles. =)
Smell: My children fresh from the bathtub.
