Joe Troxell

Life Group Pastor – Post Falls Campus

My Family: My wife, Dee, and I have been married since 1980. We have a daughter, Kayla, and son, Daniel.

My Story: I accepted Christ in 1973 but didn’t make Him my Lord until 1979. I came to Real Life in January of 2003. I have been a Home Group Leader, HG Coach, HG Lead Coach and Elder. Before coming on staff here, I owned an Architecture and Construction firm for 22 years.

Favorite Verse: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Phillipians 4:6-9.

Food: Seafood.

Quote: “A true and safe leader is likely to be one who has no desire to lead, but is forced into a position of leadership by the inward pressure of the Holy Spirit and the press of the external situation… I believe it might be accepted as a fairly reliable rule of thumb that the man who is ambitious to lead is disqualified as a leader. The true leader will have no desire to lord it over God’s heritage, but will be humble, gentle, self-sacrificing, and altogether as ready to follow as to lead, when the Spirit makes it clear that a wiser and more gifted man than himself has appeared.” – A.W. Tozer.

Hobby: Reading, fly fishing and shooting.

Exercise: Bike riding.

Smell: Coffee.
